Juba day 2

We have arrived.  A relatively painless journey.

Juba airport still as hot, noisy and chaotic as ever.  Our leader Hilary AKA ‘The Boss’ negotiated rooms for us at Juba Bridge hotel and within an hour of arrival we were showered, in the bar drinking a cold tusker waiting for a pizza.  However, this is not a holiday as da boss keeps reminding us.

It is Bruce’s first trip but he is already indispensable having fixed Hilary’s phone and carried most of the luggage.  We had a lovely welcome from Peter Pal Chol who visited Poole last year on clinical attachment.

Tomorrow we visit Juba Hospital and hopefully meet with someone at the Ministry of Health.
