Safer Cooking

The SSMJ recently put up an article about cooking stoves and the dangers they can pose in developing countries. Further to this we were sent a link to an organisation that promotes cleaner, safer, cooking methods. This is a link to one of PCIA’s first videos showing some of the varied work being carried out around the world, and why this is so urgent:

At present there is no representative from South Sudan. To join the PCIA  is free and the benefits are huge. It could be an opportunity for those interested in special areas of health related to cooking smoke exposure, for instance respiratory, burns, maternal and child health, HIV, adverse load bearing, ophthalmology etc to share experiences and expertise to maximum effect via their online forum.
